Continuous CLC Reactor tests.


After training by CSIC biofuels will be processed in a 1 kW continuous recirculating fluidised bed (D4). About 3kg of oxygen carrier will be used for each test in this case. So Only the best oxygen carrier, determined through the experiments in WP1 and WP2 and through the models in WP3 will be chosen. Particular attention will be put on biofuel injection parameters. Guidelines on how to design fluidised bed reactors for GTCLC be drafted also in collaboration with TAMK, during the secondment. The mass balances calculated by the 0D-reactor model developed in WP3, will be further checked the experimental tests performed in the continuous CLC reactor. The model will be used also to optimize the performances of the continuous reactors, focusing attention on: optimal inventory management; maximum carbon conversion, reduction of attrition, exhaust cleaning.
